Painting the City Yellow is an art event created by a group of Yorkshire artists.
The Fluorescein Team consists of:
– John McMillan, a scientist at the University of Sheffield;
– Matthew Hill, an environmental engineer at Yorkshire firm LEDA;
– Terry Wragg, a visual artist who was born and brought up in Sheffield.

The project is a micro-commission. Costs have been met from a fund donated by Arts Council England (as a result of a successful bid from the Sheffield Culture Consortium); local businesses and the City Council’s small cultural budget. The artists have not received a fee.
